Dear Parent / Carer,

This is our final newsletter of 2015. Our next newsletter will be issued in the last week of January 2016!

Christmas Coffee Morning

We are looking forward to our annual coffee morning for senior citizens on Monday. Unfortunately, we again have received more requests to attend than we can grant – this is a very popular event. Health and safety risk assessments indicate that we are at maximum capacity and only those with a ticket will be able to attend.

Building Work

This weekend a porta cabin will arrive in our playground. From the first day we return in January, parents will see some work going on around the damaged building. As we will have various workers on site it is important that both adults and children ensure that they stay away from the work area which will be fenced off.

The top gate will only be open between 8. 30 a.m. and 9.10 a.m. and between 2.25 p.m. and 3.25 p.m.

Parents are reminded that playground supervision does not start until 8.40 am in the morning.

Adults and children should vacate the playground as soon as possible at the end of the school day to allow access to the work area. Children attending school clubs should enter by the gate closest to the reception and leave the building via the reception.

Road Crossing Patrol

There will be no road crossing patroller on duty on Friday, 8th January.

School Lunch Menu Change

On Monday, 21st December, there will be a change to the menu. Chicken meatballs will replace chicken curry.

School Closure School closes at the usual time on Tuesday, 22nd December and opens on Thursday, 7th January at 9 a.m.

On behalf of everyone at Balloch Primary School we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Yours sincerely Karen Ross Head Teacher
